Geocache Description:

THIS IS AN S|S CHALLENGE CACHE - TO LOG YOU MUST HAVE COMPLETED ANY OTHER FOUR "OLD MAN" CACHES BEFORE ATTEMPTING THIS ONE.

WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! This cache is not for the faint of heart. Geocaching can be dangerous. Cache at you own risk. WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!

Every cache in the Old Man series requires you to muster up just a little bit of inner resolve and go for it. Some might even consider them dangerous, especially "five digits". If you are not comfortable with their retrieval, take someone along who is or just take them off of your to-do list.

The Old Man spends a great deal of time out here along the bluffs when he isn't fishing. He really likes hanging out on the bluffs to get that one of a kind perspective, or exploring deep dark holes just to see if they lead anywhere... But, he also knows that with his dementia, it's easy to get confused out here where every turn looks similar to the next and every new fissure looks like the last. To make sure he wouldn't loose his way he left a trail behind with clues to the next spot he was going to visit. See if you can follow his trail and find his final favorite spot. Just be careful not to get too strung out yourself.

Please exercise caution when retrieving this one, it is not for the faint of heart, and remember, you don't have to get every cache that is out there.

This is a 7 part multi-puzzle cache! In each waypoint you will find 2 strips of paper. One contains (-)N and (+)W integers to add to the previous cords. You will also find a verbal clue about where to specifically locate the containers. The other strip contains one Word (of a 6 word clue) and one Number equivalent for .ABC .DEF to plug into the given cords for the final solve.

Here is your first clue based on the listed coordinates and what you can expect to see in each container: The Old Man A: N -861, W +356 : Go Down, Go In, Look Up, and on the back slip: Word = Clue, Integer A = Number Be prepared to spend between an hour and three hours walking about a mile on uneven terrain. The other Old Man caches were just a warm up to this one. Here's your final cords: N44°09.ABC W88°17.DEF

The Geocache Notification Form has been submitted to the High Cliff State Park Geocache Liaison, Jay Vosters, of the Wisconsin DNR.
UPDATE 7.27.09 : Clues added. Relative to Bluff, Relative to Body
