This cache was placed for an upcoming event for the new cacher in the family GPS_JUNKY 4. The event was on May 30th. 2009. Just placed to have some new caches in the area for people like "DOC" who got them all from the area all ready.
Not quite a P & G but close too it. Tried to hide 20 caches today so the cords might be a little off. If they are, post your cords. I will get updated right away.
I was not able to get too much info on this lake, but here is what I did get:
INFO TAKEN FROM THE SPORTSMAN'S FISHING MAP GUIDE:
Surface water area: 30 acres
Shorelength: 1.4 miles
Secchi disk (water clarity): 3.5 ft.
Basic management: walleye, bass, panfish
MANAGEMENT: Largemouth bass are the primary gamefish. Bluegills are overabundant and stunted. Walleyes have been stocked since 1989 in an effort to increase predator fish numbers and improve the bluegill fishery. The success of theis project is still unknown.
FISHING INFORMATION: Clear Lake is known for its panfish and bass fisheries, and it offers some walleyes and northern pike to boot. It is, says Genny Carlin, owner of Gen's Bait and Sport Shop, 859 Highway 46 N., Amery, WI 54001, (715) 268-6231, "a fun lake for the family" before it greens up in late summer. You'll want to fish the shallow south bay early for bass and northerns. Later, switch to the gravel flat just north of the narrows. The steep gravel shoreline on the northern end deserves a look, too, as do the littoral weedlines on the west.
