Did you notice my favorite slate call within the name? You can't really beat the Lil' Deuce for the Toms in this area.
Oh, the son and I took the time to add a micro to the turkey bag as we went out to locate a few Toms this spring – as this area is open to the public, we could have a few extra visitors come next spring… Oh well, at least we know there’s plenty of turkey staging areas like this throughout the BR State Forest. We drive about this area throughout the spring, summer and fall months without much difficulty – you may need to straddle a few high sandy patches in the process.
The Geocache Notification Form has been submitted to of the Wisconsin DNR. Geocaches placed on Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource managed lands require permission by means of a notification form. Please print out a paper copy of the notification form, fill in all required information, then submit it to the land manager.
