The cache is located a short distance off the main trail. The gate to the upper level is closed during the winter months. The cache is about a 5 minute walk from the gate.
Calumet County Park is located on the East shore of Lake Winnebago. The upper ledge of this 200 acre park is known as the Niagara Escarpment, which has its beginning in New York state. The escarpment runs West to Niagara Falls and disappears under Lake Erie. It appears again in Door County and runs South through Illinois and Iowa. This county park also has some Indian Effigy Mounds.
