Good morning, Special Agent " _________ ". We at Mission Impossible Force (MIF) have been informed that rare national artifacts are missing. These artifacts appear to be in the form of the usual trinkets, TBs and the like. But, they are actually secret items that would prove to be very embarrassing for our country if they wind up in the wrong hands. Intelligence indicates that operatives from rival countries are in the area actively searching for the artifacts and are anxious to acquire them and hold them for ransom. That spells trouble!
We have also been informed by Intelligence that these artifacts have been stolen by a rival agent by the name of George Cash, aka G. Cash, aka George C., aka Geo. Cash. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to locate these artifacts before they are taken out of the country. If you can locate George you will more than likely find the artifacts. This is a covert operation and stealth is imperative as the area may be crawling with muggles. Do not give clues to anyone, they may be enemy spies. Trust no one! Feel free to trade items.
The Mission Details:
In order to find George and the missing artifacts, there are five clues available: MIF1 GC1RT03, MIF2 GC1RT0W, MIF3 GC1RRXY, MIF4 GC1RT0J and MIF5 GC1RT16. Each clue will contain one number and two letters. Log the number and the two letters from each cache in your MIF log book. Find all the clues and keep track of which numbers came from which cache. Once all clues have been found you will have a total of 10 letters. Unscramble those letters to form one word. Then compute the following math problem using the numbers found at each clue.
(MIF3 + MIF5) x MIF1 - MIF4 - MIF2 = CODE #
IF the unscrambled word is BLACKHORSE and the code # is 1, then each capital letter is assigned a lower-case letter from a-j with “a” (the first letter of the alphabet) assigned first, as follows:
B = a
L = b
A = c
C = d
K = e
H = f
R = h
S = i
E = j
However, IF the unscrambled word is BLACKHORSE but the code # is 7, then the assigned lower-case letters will change with “g” (the 7th letter of the alphabet) assigned first, as follows:
B = g
L = h
A = i
C = j
K = a
H = b
O = c
R = d
S = e
E = f
Assign the lower-case letters “a-j” to the letters of the unscrambled word using the “code # method” as described above. Then assign the number value of the corresponding upper-case letters (A=1 … Z=26). Using the example above when the code # =1, then B=a=2 … L=b=12 … etc. However, when the code # changes (using the example above when the code # =7), then B=g=2 … L=h=12 … etc.
The artifacts can be found somewhere between these two locations.
N 41 51.(b-d) (a-g-i) (b +i) W 090 (c-g+d) . (a-b) (c-a) (c-g-d)
N 41 51.(e+i-f) (h-j-b) (e-c+i) W 090 (c-g+d) . (e-f+b-i) (j-b) (e-j)
Since Geochecker can only handle one set of coords and this cache has two sets of coords, that tool is not available. If you want to verify your results you can email us and we will reply in the same way as Geochecker.
NOT AVAILBLE AFTER DARK!
There will be a Special Artifact for the agent that is FTF!
This is a series of caches and not a multi cache, so you will be credited with a find and a smiley for each component. ** Please do not log any spoilers. Thank you.
** As always, should you or any of your MIF be caught, the secretary will disavow any knowledge of your actions.
Good Luck! …. This message will self-destruct in 5 seconds.
