The focus of this cache quest is the beauty of the surroundings, especially the streamside serenity near the parking area. Once at GZ, the cache, a camouflaged Tupperwear container, should be relatively easy to find. THE CACHE IS NOT IN THE ROCK OUTCROP, SO DON'T EVEN LOOK THERE. The terrain rating is based on a moderate climb through less than 150 feet of undergrowth from parking to GZ. Tree canopy in the summer may increase the difficulty of the hunt. Snow cover will make this cache very difficult if not impossible to find. The coordinates were taken with few leaves on the trees.
Take time to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Pennsylvania forest while on this quest, but also take the same precautions you would take when entering any forested area on foot. Be alert for venomous snakes, ticks and other unpleasant critters. ALWAYS WEAR BLAZE ORANGE DURING ANY HUNTING SEASON WHEN SEEKING THIS CACHE. Also note that the forest roads used to reach the area may be hazardous or impassible during wintery weather.
If you like woodland caches and haven't cached in this area before, there are many nice hides within ten miles of this cache. Be sure to allow time to visit some of those caches as well.
Congratulations to NrthrnLght for a very quick & daring FTF!!!
