REGISTRATION: (Look for the Geofest Café)
As in the past, the registration table and Log Book will be available on the Group Site all day Saturday. Please feel free to drop by to say hello or ask for information. Not a Geocacher? Not a problem? This is the place to get some information!!!
GEOFEST BULLETIN BOARD & THE GEOFEST CAFE:
New this year … look for it at the Geofest Café. Got something to Sell? Looking for something to Buy? Trying to track down a fellow Geocacher? Post a note on the GEOFEST BULLETIN BOARD. Look for updates to hikes and activities here as well!!

ACTIVITIES:
CAMMO CONTEST: this contest is being sponsored by our friends at the

After some careful deliberations, we have decided to challenge our fellow geocachers (young and old) to come up with their BEST camouflage skills and show them off at Geofest. We challenge our fellow geocachers to camouflage a geocache and bring it to Geofest. We have no intentions of complicating this little contest, we simply ask for 2 categories of entries: children or adult (15 years old is the cut off) … to make it really challenging, a plain background will be used for the judging table. Time and place to be announced.
INTRO TO GEOCACHING:
Blomidon Provincial Park has asked us to put on an Intro to Geocaching Session. Since they have put up with our shenanigans here for the last 3 years, it is the least we could do for them!!! This will take place 2pm Saturday afternoon in the main campground.
GEOCACHE THE WORLD
Pick a country or a region and imagine what a geocacher might look like from that place.
Now imagine what costume they might wear to go geocaching (a cowboy hat and chaps? a Scottish kilt? a grass skirt?). We invite you to be creative or imaginative or even outlandish ... but BE ORGINAL and show it off at the corn boil!!
We are inviting you to wear your "Geocache the World" Costume to Saturday Night's Corn Boil at the Geofest Cafe around 5ish. There will be 2 prize categories: adult and kids!!!
CAPE SPLIT HIKE:
If there is enough interest, we will again organize this yearly pilgrimage. This is an arduous 16 km hike which usually takes at least 5-6 hours and has 10 geocaches. WARNING: this hike is not for the feint of heart and should only be approached with proper preparation and proper footwear. This is not over groomed trails and contains some very rough terrain in places. That said … the views are spectacular and well worth the hike!!

Please check back here on a regular basis ... we will post updates as they happen. See you soon!!!

The Crew would like the Thank the following for their generous sponsorship and support:
