To log this cache, you must find a cache in every Iowa county. Once you feel you have done this, I will need to verify your finds in order to validate your log.
How will I verify your finds? When you let me know that you have found a cache in every county, I would like a pocket query of your finds sent to me or a public bookmark list of your qualified finds be made for viewing. And since I like taking and sharing pictures of ourselves in areas we have found caches, while it is not required to fulfill this challenge, I would like to see some happy smiling faces in your qualified cache logs. After verification, I will email you the final coordinates.
Additionally, as a special reward, a commemorative tag will be available to those who complete the challenge. This tag will only be provided after the verification of the finds.
The following rules apply:
1: The posted coordinates at the top of the page are not the actual coordinates for this challenge cache. There is no need to get there, unless you would like to visit the place anyways. The actual coordinates for this cache are listed elsewhere on this cache listing.
2: Generally accepted rules, guidelines and conditions for logging a find apply. Only caches with a physical container and logbook will qualify. Virtual caches, locationless, webcam, event caches, temp caches, or EarthCaches will not qualify.
3: If you have completed or on the way to completing the Iowa Delorme Challenge, caches you used to qualify for that challenge can also qualify for this challenge. However, the cache itself for the Iowa Delorme Challenge cannot be used to fulfill the requirement for the county where the dummy coordinates are posted.
4: I will go off the posted coordinates for multicaches and puzzle caches to determine in which county a cache is. For example: The posted coordinates for a mystery cache are in Polk County, but the actual cache is in Story County, it is only eligible for Polk County. Likewise for multicaches, the first stage posted coordinates in Polk County but you end up in Story County will only count for Polk County.
5: Caches found before or after the creation of the Iowa County Challenge can be used, even archived caches, as long as they meet the criteria from rule #2.
6: While others may accompany you when you find the final cache, only those that have met the criteria for this challenge will be allowed to log this cache as a find. Any "Found It" logs by cachers not having their finds verified, even though they signed the logbook, will be deleted.
7: If you have any questions, please ask! A frequently asked questions (FAQ) section may be added if multiple similar questions come in.
8: Have fun exploring the state! I know we did when we set out on a quest to find a cache in every county and complete the Delorme Challenge. There are many strange and cool places in this wonderful state of ours just waiting to be discovered by you!
