Geocache Description:

Easy cache on a country road. Nice place to stop.
.

Apiarian adj. having to do with bees or the care of bees

Honey bees pollinate: almond trees, cranberries, blueberries, cherries, apples, plums, melons, and a wide variety of vegetables. According to a new report, bees put the bloom on (pollinate) at least 90 important crops -- including about one-third of the fruit, vegetables and nuts found in your local store.

A local commercial beekeeper places between 50 and 100 bee hives here every Spring to pollinate the apple blossoms. If you visit here in the Spring you may see the hives in the center of the orchard as you drive by. When open this is a fun place in the country to stop for apples (50 varieties), pears, plums, cider, and honey. Don’t miss the free cider samples.
