The Village of Pleasant Prairie was incorporated in 1989 after an agreement was reached with the city of Kenosha. The agreement provided for orderly development and fixed boundaries for the Town of Pleasant Prairie in exchange for the acknowledged right of property owners in various locations along the Town/City border to annex into the City of Kenosha.
The boundaries of the Village are basically from the Illinois State line in the south to State Hwy 50 (75th St.) in the North and from Lake Michigan in the East to US 94 in the west. There are areas along the Northern edge where Kenosha and Pleasant Prairie intermingle with one street being part of the City and the next street part of the Village.
This cache is well within the Village boundaries and overlooks the seat of government. Looking slightly Northeast from the cache you can see the Village Offices where the day to day business takes place.
