Geocache Description:

In 1928, Wisconsin became the first state in the country to establish a school forest program. At that time, the goal of school forests was to encourage student involvement in replanting forests and to instill a conservation ethic in young people. Today, school forests are exceptional outdoor education sites. Many schools and Organization such as the 4 H were involved in replanting poor farm land back into the forestland that we enjoy today.
