Geo caching Activities:
Caches:
We will be hiding about 10 temporary caches on the 140 acres of camp property. You will have from check-in Friday until Sunday 10:00 AM to find all the temporary caches. We will also be having geocaching games (both single and team based) throughout the weekend for "fabulous" prizes. There are also many permenant caches within a 20 mile radius of camp if you still need a caching fix.

Group Dinner/Photo/Door Prizes: On Saturday evening, there will be a group dinner at Camp. As your hosts, we will provide the major fixing, and are asking attendees to provide the sides and condiments. Afterwards, we will take a group photo and hand out geo-awards and prizes. If you haven't done enough, there will still be plenty of time to talk caching around the fire afterwards!

Of course, this being a weekend event, allows plenty of opportunity to meet new friends, learn from others and share geocaching stories while caching, hanging out at the fire or taking advantage of the many camp activities.

About Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya:
Cabins: PLEASE NOTE: Cabins are co-ed. And will sleep a maximum of 12-15. Each heated cabin has three rooms (2 sleeping quarters and a main room). Each cabin has bunk beds with matresses, a table, chairs (not too comfy though), fireplace, full electricity and lighting, gas furnace, private deck/porch, firewood, outdoor grill for cooking and a terrific lake and forest view. Some parking is located near each cabin. Centrally located heated bathrooms provide flush toilets, sinks and runnig water, private showers, changing areas, and electrical outlets. Firewood is provided by the camp. Please DO NOT bring any from home. DUE TO THE NUMBER OF ATTENDEES ALREADY, CABIN MATE REQUESTS MADE AFTER 10/31/09 WILL NOT BE ACCOMODATED. REMAINING CABIN SPACE IS ON A FIRST ARRIVED BASIS AND EXTRA SPACE CANNOT BE "RESERVED". Sorry for any inconvenience.

Camp Facilities: Camp offers the following for your enjoyment: cross country ski boots and skies with miles and miles of trails (rated easy to expert), sledding hill (equipped with plastic sleds, fire pit and floodlights), ice skates, 2 skating rinks, hockey sticks, broom ball equipment, snow shoes, an ice shanty (bring your own poles and license), and the ever popular sauna - which was recently rebuilt after burning down a few years ago. You are welcome to bring your own equipment as well. From experience, if you really want to go sledding, bring a snow tube (I have recorded speeds of 35 MPH+ down the hill with one)!

Food: To keep the cost low, we opted out of camp provided meals. Which means, meals are on your own! You can bring a small grill or personal coleman stove to put on the deck of the cabin (no grilling or personal stoves inside), a pizza oven, deep fryer or small microwave and/or coffee maker to use in the cabin. We have used pizza ovens, deep fryers, toasters, and our jet boil with great success! There are several restaurants nearby serving all kinds of food. The main dining hall does have coffee and hot chocolate available during the day and early evening for your consumption. There will be a group dinner (see above) on Saturday at the Camp.
