madalli: With some sadness we have decided to archive this cache because it doesn't seem so appealing as we hoped and is also quite difficult to maintain.
Maybe another geocacher will try again with a new cache!

Il Monte Breva a 3104 m è un balcone panoramico situato al confine italo-svizzero subito a N della Forcola di Livigno; può essere raggiunto quindi sia dal versante italiano, con percorso più diretto, sia da quello svizzero, con percorso molto più lungo (la val da Fain è lunga oltre 7 km!) ma più vario.
Noi descriviamo il percorso dal versante italiano.
Lasciata l'auto al parcheggio del Passo della Forcola (2315m s.l.m.), si comincia la salita seguendo le indicazioni per il Lago dal Monte: il sentiero sale subito ripido per 10 -20 minuti, poi si appiana, anche se presenta alcuni passaggi poco agevoli, fino al Pass La Stretta, dove si trovano nuove indicazioni. Si riprende a salire, fino a trovare una palina segnavia, con l’indicazione del tempo rimanente per raggiungere il lago dal Monte. A questo punto si prosegue tenendosi sulla sinistra e seguendo i segnavia in una zona pietrosa. Si sale tra i sassi fino ad un piccolo laghetto, poi, seguendo gli ometti, senza percorso obbligato, si raggiunge la cima dal panorama grandioso.
Il tempo totale per raggiungere la cima è di 2.5 - 3 ore
Il micro cache è inserito in un sacchetto di plastica, assieme a un apribottiglie magnetico per il primo geacacher che lo troverà.

The “Monte Breva” (3104 m asl) is a panoramic balcony located on the Swiss-Italian border, North of “Forcola di Livigno” Pass; it can be reached from the Italian side, the most direct path, or from the Swiss side, the longer path (Val da Fain is over 7 km long) but with more varied scenery.
The path from the Italian side is described below
Leave the car at the car parking at Forcola Pass (2315 m altitude), then begin the hiking by following the “Lago dal Monte” direction. The track climbs steeply during the first 10 -20 minutes, then becomes more regular up to the Pass La Stretta.
The track starts again to raise and you must follow it as far as you reach a directional pole, with yellow signals, indicating the direction to the “Lago dal Monte”. Don’t follow this direction, but turn left and continue on the track marked with red/white signals, among the rocks. By following the signals you will reach a small lake, and then looking at the cairns, you will finally reach the top of the mountain, after 2.5 – 3 hours from the car parking.
Now you can relax and enjoy a spectacular 360° panorama of the Alps.
The micro cache is inserted into a plastic bag, together with a magnetic bottle opener: a small gift for the first geocacher that will find it!
