Geocache Description:

Parking available in the lot of the closed restaurant. Access by foot from East or West El Camino Real.

This is another cache in our series for historic El Camino Real.

Imagine taking your date for milk shakes after watching Casablanca in 1942. In the 50's you might have your burgers and root beer float delivered by a car hop. You can also imagine munching on fries and a sipping an icy soda while rocking to the Jefferson Airplane in the sixties. How about the late night snack after disco'ing in your tight jeans and platform shoes in the 70's. And, of course, all young women enjoying burgers at this place looked like Pat Benatar in the early 80's. Sorry, but I can't picture an icon for the 90's or 00's.

Anyway, this special burger joint was established in 1942, Sadly, it's been closed for several years now. Interestingly, all of the fixtures are still in place. What a blast from the past.

A vintage US postage stamp is there for the FTF.

Have fun!

Note added 01/02/10:

Several cachers have noted that this place is eerie and surreal. To add to the mystique, I noticed that although this business has been closed for several years, there is no dust. Does a ghostly cleaning person visit nightly? Check it out.
