The cache is a plastic container, its dimension (cm) is 11*11*6.5 and it is placed below the nest. Its coordinates are N48° 7' 55.98" E021° 45' 35.40" (N48.132217, E021.75983) and it is hidden in the concrete pylon cavity.

This geocache is named after the occupants of a widely known white stork nest. Halász and Harmat* breed in Hungary – at Nagyhalász, to be exact – for years. Their nest is on the top of an electric pylon next to the calvinist church, and can be observed through a webcam since 2008.
*Harmat died in 2010.
The cache is a plastic container (like those used in microwave ovens), its dimension (cm) is 11*11*6.5 and it is placed below the nest.
This geocache is not registered yet in the database of the Hungarian geocaching site, so this is the only site where you can report if you find it.

Travel Bugs
The two Travel Bugs started their journey from the cache. The goal of the first mission of Halász (TB2JV49) and Harmat (TB2JV3P) is to be away from their nest during the winter, and return there in the spring. Take them to Africa if there is a chance, but you can take them to other places as well ;-)
The most important is to get far from the nest and then to return!

Nagyhalász
Nagyhalász is a little town in the eastern part of Hungary. This is the breeding place of our famous white storks and the place where I have been living until the age of 10.
If you are here visiting the nest, do not miss the calvinist church, the nursery pond, the Csuha-Kállay Mansion house and the narrow gauge railway!
If you are coming from Nyíregyháza, you shall visit the nurseponds (turn right before Nagyhalász at the cemetery), the Ferto II. fishing pond (N48° 6' 4.95", E021° 46' 42.84"), where you can see waterfowls and songbirds.
The Csuha-Kállay Mansion house (N48° 7' 44.67", E021° 45' 52.88") was renovated in the autumn of 2009. In an exhibition you can learn about the life of the Kállay family, and the museum shows the works of the artists of Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county and objects and tools from the folk life of the people of Nagyhalász.
The narrow gauge railway of Nyírvidék leads to Dombrád via Nagyhalász, and if you are lucky, you will see as the little train is plodding its way. At the old football pitch an old diesel engine is exhibited (N48° 8' 10.30", E021° 45' 29.80") which is worth to see, and children will enjoy to climb to its top.

Ez a geoláda (cache) egy sokak által ismert gólyafészek lakóinak nevét viseli. Halász és Harmat* Kelet-Magyarországon, egészen pontosan Nagyhalászban költenek évek óta. Fészkük a református templom melletti villanyoszlopon van, s 2008. óta egy webkamerán figyelheto meg.
*Harmat 2010-ben elpusztult.

Ebbol a ládából indult útnak két Travel Bug. Halász (TB2JV49) és Harmat (TB2JV3P) elso küldetésének célja, hogy a tél folyamán távol legyenek fészküktol, de tavasszal visszaérkezzenek oda. Ha mód van rá, akkor jussanak el Afrikába, de akár a világ más részeire is elviheted oket. ;-) A lényeg, hogy távolra eljussanak és tavasszal visszatérjenek!

Egy kisváros Magyarország keleti részén, Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg megyében. Itt fészkelnek híres gólyáink, s itt éltem 10 évig gyerekkoromban. :-)
Ha erre jársz, akkor ne csak a református templomot és a gólyafészket látogasd meg!
Nyíregyháza felol érkezve meg lehet tekinteni a halastavakat (a temetonél keleti irányba kell lefordulni, még a település elott), s a Ferto II. horgásztavat (N48° 6' 4.95", E021° 46' 42.84"), ahol vízimadarakat és nádi énekeseket is megfigyelhetsz.
A Csuha-Kállay kúriát 2009 oszén újították fel (N48° 7' 44.67", E021° 45' 52.88"), ahol kiállításon ismerkedhetsz meg Kállay család történetével, s a múzeum bemutatja Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg megyei képzomuvészek muveit, valamint tárgyakat és eszközöket Nagyhalász népéletébol.
A Nyírvidéki Kisvasút Nagyhalászon át vezet el egészen Dombrádig, s a házak közelében futó sínpáron szerencsés esetben láthatjuk is a komótosan cammogó kisvonatot. A régi futballpálya mellett van kiállítva egy régi dízelmozdony (N48° 8' 10.30", E021° 45' 29.80"). Érdemes megtekinteni, hiszen fel is lehet rá mászni, így a gyerekeknek biztosan tetszeni fog. :-)
