Since I live out of town, my mom has kindly agreed to maintain this
cache.
1. Coincidentally, there are two states which have a town called
Ottumwa very close to the intersection of highways 63 and 34. The
number of letters in the non-abbreviated name of the other state is
A.
2. Take a look at the paved county road numbering northeast of
Ottumwa. After looking at a map, a newcomer could easily be led to
believe that the V stood for JJ and the H stood for KK. Number of
letters in JJ is B. Number of letters in KK is C.
3. Ottumwa High School points away from LL Street. Number of
letters in LL is D.
4. Not related to Ottumwa, but interesting: Kinloch, Missouri has a
rich history. The number of the higher-numbered of the two numbered
streets in town is E. The number of residential houses clearly
shown on said street per Google Maps Satellite view in Kinloch
proper is F. Do not include any houses in the neighboring suburbs -
this might be tricky! You might have to determine where exactly the
city limits are. They may run down the middle of streets in the
area of interest.
Try to solve it without the hints first! It's hard for me as the
hider to tell but I think they make 2 and 3 pretty easy.
Final coordinates are 41 0(F).(B)(D)(A-9) -92
2(C-6).(A-7)(F+1)(E)
