Geocache Description:

I got your letter today
and I miss you all so much here
I can't wait to see you all
and I'm counting the days here

I still believe that there's gold
at the end of the world
And I'll come home to Illinois
on the day after tomorrow

It is so hard and it's cold here
and I'm tired of taking orders
And I miss old Rockford town
up by the Wisconsin border

What I miss, you won't believe
shoveling snow and raking leaves
And my plane will touch down
on the day after tomorrow

I close my eyes every night
and I dream that I can hold you

They fill us full of lies, everyone buys
'bout what it means to be a soldier
I still don't know how I'm supposed to feel
'bout all the blood that's been spilled
Will god on this throne
get me back home
on the day after tomorrow

You can't deny, the other side
Don't want to die anymore then we do
What I'm trying to say is don't they pray
to the same god that we do?

And tell me how does god choose
whose prayers does he refuse?
Who turns the wheel
Who throws the dice
on the day after tomorrow

Getting close to the end of the series at long last. This spot was almost another Flags of Our Father cache, but because it is so uniquely different than the traditional War Memorials of large polished granite slabs standing on end or clusters of fluttering flags it seemed a far better fit for this series.

PLEASE READ THE LYRICS BEFORE VISITING THE MEMORIAL

I somehow made a much closer connection to the spirit of soldiers honored here when I took time to absorb the memorial which I encourage all of you to do. Moved more than I have been at any of my FooF caches or the many War Memorials I've stopped at to consider cache placements, I was so overwhelmed here by the message and interpretation that I broke down on the spot, remembering some of the souls I once knew who gave it their all.

This is only a puzzle to encourage you to read the plaques and understand the nature of the memorial, which you'll find at the given cords. Puzzle cords are N44°17.ABC W88° 23.DEF

There are A categories of donors and B(-2) flags flying over the memorial proper. The word "Freedom" is mentioned C times on the upper plaques and there are D words in the "title" of (the dry portion of) the memorial . The memorial itself is "composed simply of" (reference those exact words) F elements, each of which represents E attributes.

UPDATE: 11.5.09 Updated the listing clues slightly to help with your answers given some of the most recent feedback.
