Houston's First Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Zephyr01: Ammo can was stolen recently and facility is a Nature Center/Preserve that only allowed one cache and was not overly keen on maintaining it last time I visited, so out of respect for the facility I am archiving the cache.

Geocache Description:

This was the first cache hidden in the Houston area. It is located south of Houston near Johnson Space Center. The park is open from 9am-5pm on Wednesdays- Saturdays & 12 noon-5pm on Sundays. There is a small entry fee to access the trails: Children 3 & under-free; ages 4-12, or 60 and over-$2.00; adults-$4.00. Entry fee is waived first and third Sunday each month between noon and four.

Be very careful not to disturb any of the wildlife/plant life because this is a nature center. Some of the trails may be a little wet and muddy after a good rain. Finding the cache will require a short(maybe 1/4 mile) hike along a well defined trail through the woods. Hope you have fun searching. Please rehide as found to deter muggling. Thx!
