This cache was hidden as part of an introduction of Girl Scout
Troop 71915 of Belmont, MA to geocaching. First, the troop found
the nearby Belmont Waterfalls cache (GC1NNME), which is also owned
by us, then they went on to find a good place to hide another cache
in this park.
The girl scouts also made a travel bug which is being launched
in this cache (TB29K5N). The GSTraveller TB (TBJQR8) was also
placed in the cache.
The cache was originally placed at the far northern end of the
Beaver Brook Reservation, a nice park on the Belmont/Waltham town
line that features two waterfalls. Unfortunately, the abutting
property owners complained and the cache has been relocated to the
Rock Meadow Conservation Area just to the north.
