The cache was hidden near by Nagoya staitoin.
The container of this cache is a glass jar from Germany.
The content was Grüenkohl(Green Cabbage).
The means of this cache name is "Northern German Green Cabbage Cache".
In North Germany, they eat it a lot.
So we hidden this cache for the Germany-Japan friendship.

A story "How the North German Green Cabbage Cache came to Japan" by gulf
At the end of October 2009, i was traveling from Germany to Nagoya and i wanted to leave 5 trackables from Europe and the USA in Japan.
But unfortunately i did not have much time to search for such a big cache and the only big cache i already knew was the cache at Nayabashi Bridge, which was not active by the day of my arrival.
So i had the idea to hide a temporary container at that very good place and so i looked in my kitchen and took a big jar for all those travel bugs.
This jar is originally from North Germany, where people often eat in the wintertime green cabbage with sausages.
This jar had once green cabbage in it. They eat it in winter, because it still grows in winter and can handle up to minus 20 degrees.
It has a strong flavour, but it is said to be very healthy.
So i hid this 760 ml jar at Nayabashi Bridge on October, 25th 2009.
There is still the log and some pictures.
Shinsukek got it and had the nice idea to hide this big cache in Nagoya.
To tell what it is, what it means: "Norddeutscher Grünkohl" we simply named what it once was: A jar full of German green cabbage. |
