On the road to the Long House. Stop and look around.
On the inside passage, this is the home of the Kitasoo people. Population is about 460. Klemtu is located on Swindle Island in the Finlayson Channel. The Kitasoo people are a warm and welcoming people. They quietly watch over the Great Bear Rainforest, home of the Kermode or Spirit Bear. Klemtu is the first step to Princess Royal Island.
On the road to the Long House you will find Klemtu’s first Geo-Cache. The view of Trout Bay from this cache is unbelievable. A blue and white ribbon is near.
