Geocache Description:

The cache is now a traditional type due to the logging in the area. The final was damaged and removed. It was an old stove used by the early loggers that was located in the loggers camp.

The cache is located on the Willow Flowage land. This land is managed by the DNR. I and 2X2L grew up vacationing on Skunk Lake. We hunted, fished, swam, skied, biked, hiked, etc. in this area. The land was formerly owned by many different logging companies. You may find a few rare reminders of the old logging cooking shanty. This general area (final) once housed a small bunk house for the loggers and stalls for the horses. Enjoy the many hiking trails. See if you can walk to one of the many permanent camping spots on the shore of the Willow Flowage. Warning: Use caution and dress accordingly during hunting season!!! The cache is a 35mm film container with log book and BD58 coin. BYOP! PLEASE REPLACED EXACTLY AS FOUND SO OTHER CACHERS' HAVE THE SAME FUN LOOKING FOR! The Geocache Notification Form has been approved by Thomas Shockley of the Wisconsin DNR.
