The cache is located on the wildlife trail. Dogs are not permitted in this area.
ONLY enter the trail via the parking coordinates below. This would be a from a southern entry from the park. DO NOT enter via WMNI property.
Asylum Point Park is primarily dedicated to wildlife habitat restoration. The property bounds Lake Winnebago and terrain ranges from scenic lakefront to marshland to prairie. The park is located about 1/2 miles east of County Road A at the intersection of Sherman and Snell Road. Parking coordinates are W 44 03.850 W88 30.753. Nearby is a Potter's Field belonging to the WMHI, but please do not enter the cemetery as it is posted. Cache is a camouflage-taped container with room for trade. The Winnebago County Parks Manager was contacted about the placement of this cache. The area could use some TLC with CITO. Thanks very much!
