Geocache Description:

Dark Knight caches are Night Caches and should only be attempted at night.

THIS IS A THEMED CACHE - IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING THEME RELATED PLEASE TNLN.

Please trade only used or new COMIC BOOKS of any kind.

I started to work this squeal to another Dark knight cache based on the Bat's alter egos, but soon discovered a whole army of other dark creatures inhabiting the Marvel and DC universes that I thought might be even more interesting to investigate.

This one should be a little easier to solve than the original, I think. Your task is to correctly identify the Darker villains pictured above and determine the year they first appeared in print. Use the last digit of the year to assemble your starting coordinates for this night cache.

Some pointers for the night portion. There are only 2 white tacks in the course, the rest are brown and you'll need a high power flashlight to pick up on them. At the second white, shine into the woods. The final is located 5 feet from the only tack on a branch.

UPDATE: 11-28-09 Minor puzzle tweaks (2 villains transposed) and a clarification: for the God, use the date he first appeared as a villain, a few years earlier battling the Batman.
