WCP - Brick Chimney Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

chihuahuak94me: Been out there for 12 years with no problems. I was upset a few years back when somebody destroyed the standing chimney from a house back in the 1800s and left a pile of bricks. But recently someone and their friends decided to have a fun fest with the pile of bricks. Bricks were broken and thrown all over the area and my container (which was not near the chimney) was broken beyond repair. It’s a shame that whoever decided to destroy this site in such a manner has so little respect for this magnificent park.

Geocache Description:

There is a paved parking area at the main entrance to the park on Jericho Road (around the corner and down the road from the "Jericho Road Trail head" entrance).

This cache is located along the 2 mile hiking trail at Windsor Castle Park. As you walk the trail you will come across what looks like part of an old chimney about 15 feet off the trail. Unfortunately local urchins have distroyed the old chimney and what remains is a pile of bricks. The cache is not in this pile. It is located about 20 feet away. Trust your gps. No need to pick up and examine all the bricks. It is not with the pile of bricks. The careful eye of a seasoned cacher will notice something "just a little different". Please rehide the cache just as you find it. There is a lot of traffic in this location and I put it where I did for a reason.

This park is quickly becoming a very popular place. When searching for the cache please keep an eye out for others who may be walking by.

NOTE: Bicycles are NOT ALLOWED on the walking/hiking trails in Windsor Castle Park.

FTF honors go to ibwacko. Congratulations!
