Beasley Flats Recreation area off Salt Mine Road. The last mile of the road is gravel, all the rest is blacktop.
After moving to Camp Verde, we tried to visit all the local spots of interest. Any time we would tell someone about another spot we'd been to, they would ask if we'd been to Beasley Flats yet. Finally we went to Beasley Flats, and thought it would be an interesting place for a cache.
Beasley Flat Recreation area is a place for people to enjoy a relaxing picnic, and is a popular place to unload canoes and rafts for traveling down the Verde River. Enjoy a picnic at one of the seven ramadas, and enjoy the beautiful scenery, including cliff dwellings across the river.
