Common in the Northern Kettle Moraine in all seasons.
Non-migratory. Look at the specialized beak, toes, and tail. Flight is undulating.
This cache is located just off the Ice Age Trail in the Northern Kettle Moraine (NKM) State Forest. Enjoy a hike in the beautiful, hilly forest while watching and listening for woodpeckers. The Ice Age Trail is both a National and State designated Scenic Trail. A map showing it and the bridle/snowmobile trails in the NKM is available from the WI DNR here: DNR Trail Map

You’re looking for a small camo-covered plastic container. Cache is winter-friendly. The trail is used year-round. Best roadside parking on CR S.
