Geocache Description:



Joy, Whoopie & Baba Wawa?  It's The View, of course!  That's the reason to visit this particular cache in the beautiful Northern Kettle Moraine State Forest.  Near a high point along the Ice Age Scenic Trail, there's a panoramic view to the Southwest near this cache.  After hiking The Ice Age Trail it's interesting to be reminded of the rest of the world and how the forest fits into it.  At dusk, in winter, you have a good view of Sunburst ski hill, all lit up.

Cache is winter-friendly and the trail is used year-round.  Terrain is hilly.  You're looking for a small tube, approx 1" dia by 5-1/2".  Cache is not far off the trail.  Best roadside parking on CR S but one car might fit roadside at CR DD.

The Ice Age Trail is both a National and State designated Scenic Trail.  A map showing it and the bridle/snowmobile trails in the NKM is available from the WI DNR here: DNR Trail Map.  Be sure to visit the other caches along the trails in this section of forest.  (Bookmark at right)
