This is our team's 100th hide!
We wanted to place a cache that was in a special and unique place and one where people would really want to visit.
This land was acquired from the Dale E. Smith family. It is in honor of the Smith family and their dedication to the land ethic and preservation of wetlands. From the viewing platform, or from the ground, many birds including herons and red-wing blackbirds along with a variety of ducks can be seen. We also saw several turtles on one of our many visits to the location. Cutie Pi and I rescued at least 4 turtles from the road. We were able to get them moved on their way to the water. Please enjoy this wonderful location for the scenery and waterfowl that inhabits the refuge.
There is a Geocoin in the cache for the FTF.
