This cache is not at the posted
coordinates!
This is a cache for kids of all ages!
It’s located at Highland Woods Park in the City of Mequon.
The End of the Rainbow is the eighth and finial of the CC’s
Rainbow Shape Sorter series. All the caches in this series were
hidden by 7 year old CC with minimal help from dad. They are all
winter friendly and should be accessible by kids 7 and up. As when
hunting any geocache, please watch for thorns and possible poison
ivy! All caches are within 50 feet of the trails so stealth may be
required!
When CC was a baby, one of her favorite toys
was this Rainbow Shape Sorter. She loved dropping the animal shapes
through the slots and using the keys to set them free. We are both
glad to find a new use for this special toy. Bring the kids or
grandchildren for this one! Were certain that fun will be had by
all!
Scenario: CC’ Rainbow Shape Sorter is
comprised of 8 caches; 6 traditional and 2 mysteries. The 6
traditional color key caches use the actual keys as markers for
ground zero. Please leave the keys in place as they are only
markers to help the young ones remember where ground zero is while
hunting! They are not needed to unlock the sorter! The key colors
are Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue and Purple. All six keys are
zip tied to a tree or branch and cache container is hidden within
20 feet, so keep an eye out for them if your GPS device is jumpy
under the tree cover. Inside the cache container on the underside
of the lid you will see partial coordinates for the “White
Key” cache that contains the Rainbow Shape Sorter. Make sure
you record the coordinates, sign each log book and stamp your sheet
if you like. Please leave the stamps in the cache as they are not
trading items! After finding all 6 colored keys you will have a
complete set of coordinates to find the “White Key”
mystery cache. There is no marker for this cache, but it is quite
large and should not be too difficult to find. When you find the
Shape Sorter, use the White Master Key to unlock the 6 doors and
remove each animal. On each animal you will find the partial
coordinates to the “End of the Rainbow” mystery cache.
The trick is that you must arrange the animals in the correct order
to display the correct coordinates. Once you figure out the
coordinates to the “End of the Rainbow” then lock up,
drop the animals in the sorter and sign the log book. The final is
a large green ammo box filled with trading items. Again, no marker
at this cache, but the box is quite large. Have a great time! CC
& Jack
