Geocache Description:

This cache has been set for The Langspoon Event 2010, to be fair to others please don’t log until 3rd April please.

A short multi taking you around the church and grounds of Dunino Church.

The above co-ords are for parking and the cache is not there and also its not within the grounds.

The church may occupy a site on which a stone circle once stood, some of the stones can still be seen incorporated into the fabric of the church. In other stories the stones came from a circle on the other side of Dunino Den. It was quite common for churches to be built on much older pagan sites.

A typical developed site, the cross marked stone on which the 17th century sundial sits is said to have been carved around 800 AD which would make it a very early Christian site.

The Church is always open and you are free to enter and have a wander.

To find the cache just answer the following questions in order to complete the co-ords.

1. As you enter the church yard how many lamps are attached to the wall = A

2. Walk into the vestibule where you will see a stained glass window dedicated to Saint ? How many letters in his name = B

3. Now walk over to the famous cross marked stone (you will see it easily, towards the rear of the yard) You will see many offerings on top of the stone, leaving something might bring you good luck)
How many blue seats with yellow spots and red stars are next to the stone??? = C

4. On the south side of the Church how many arched windows can you see? = D

5. On the East side of the Church there is a date on the cross, what is the last digit? = E

6. Still on the east side there is the grave of Percy Douglas, he was born 18?6 = F
