Back in 2007, I happened to find a few caches on April Fool’s Day. While logging the finds, I thought I’d have a bit of fun by exaggerating the truth a little. I enjoyed my “little white” logs so much, that I continued the tradition for the next two April firsts. This year, the true stories of our April Fool’s Day caching were so fantastic that there was no need to tell a single lie.
If you have followed our exploits with GoldieDiggers as chronicled in Jack's Rubik's Cube Challenge series (GC24K74) or Monkey Business at Grafton's Lions Park (GC25HJK), you know that we share a somewhat contentious relationship with our fellow cacher. We didn’t realize how contentious a relationship until we went caching in the Fond du Lac area on April 1st, 2010.
Somehow Goldie had learned of our travel plans and had arranged April Fool’s pranks at 14 different caches. Why 14? Hey, this is a puzzle cache. 14 seemed like a nice number.
I’ve described our adventures in my April 1, 2010 logs. You might be interested in reading them. If you enjoy them, check out the logs from the last two April 1sts.
