The archaeological park Puig de Sa Morisca
In the south of the bay of Santa Ponsa runs a small chain of hills that reach the Puig de Sa Morisca (Puig is the peak) at an altitude of 119 meters above sea level.
To the summit of this mountain was around in 2009 reported a 35 hectare park, which protects archaeological sites including the Talayotic.
The peak of the Puig de Sa Morisca is developed within the park on a trail.
From the summit offers a panoramic view over the impressive bay of Santa Ponsa Nova Santa Ponsa, including Urbanisacion, the peaks of the Serra de Tramuntana in Majorca, and the southwest peninsula of Cala Figuera.
The colonization of the area began around the 6th Century BC and lasted until the year 1229, when the island was conquered by Jaume I.
Besides the archaeological sites located in the park an interesting nature. Large parts of the park with an Aleppo pine forest covered with an undergrowth of wild olive trees, junipers, rosemary and rock roses whitish.
Other endemic species are the Ephedra or henbane, and an endemic orchid. Many small and wide roads open up the park.

Der archäologische Park Puig de Sa Morisca
Im Süden der Bucht von Santa Ponsa verläuft eine kleine Hügelkette, die im Puig de Sa Morisca (Puig = Spitze) eine Höhe von 119 Metern über NN erreicht.
Um den Gipfel dieses Berges herum wurde im Jahr 2009 ein 35 Hektar großer Park ausgewiesen, der unter anderem Fundstätten der Talayot-Kultur schützt.
Der Gipfel des Puig de Sa Morisca ist innerhalb des Parks über einen Weg erschlossen.
Vom Gipfel aus bietet sich ein eindrucksvoller Rundblick über die Bucht von Santa Ponsa einschließlich der Urbanisacion Nova Santa Ponsa, die Gipfel der Serra de Tramuntana im Südwesten Mallorcas und die Halbinsel Cala Figuera.
Die Besiedlung des Gebiets begann ca. im 6. Jahrhundert v. Chr. und erstreckte sich bis ins Jahr 1229, als die Insel von Jaume I. erobert wurde. Neben den archäologischen Sehenswürdigkeiten befindet sich im Park eine interessante Natur. Weite Teile des Parks sind mit einem Aleppokiefernwald bedeckt mit einem Unterwald aus wilden Ölbäumen, Phönizischen Sadebäumen, Rosmarin und weißlichen Zistrosen.
Weitere hier vorkommende Pflanzenarten sind die Ephedra oder das Bilsenkraut sowie eine endemische Orchidee.
