O miejscu:
Góra Cergowa jest jedna z najbardziej
charakterystycznych gór Beskidu Niskiego. Wprawdzie jej szczyt ma
wysokosc zaledwie 716 m, ale specyficzna budowa geologiczna
sprawila, ze jej pólnocne stoki sa niezwykle strome. To tez
powoduje, ze jest ogromnym zagrozeniem dla samolotów. Lokalne
przekazy mówia o 3 katastrofach lotniczych na jej stokach, z czego
miejsce jednej jest do dzis do odnalezienia. Podczas II wojny
swiatowej rozbil sie tam niemiecki samolot transportowy. Wydarzenie
to zapisalo sie w nazwie pobliskiej Jaskini gdzie Spadl Samolot. W
okolicach nadal mozna znalezc pogiete i stopione fragmenty
rozbitego samolotu.
W poblizu znajduje sie osuwisko skalne z jaskiniami, jednak ze
wzgledu na ciasnote korytarzy i kruchosc skal nie sa one polecane
do zwiedzania.

About the spot:
Cergowa Mountain is one of the most distinctive
peaks in Beskid Niski. Even though it's only 716 m a.s.l., its
geological structure made the northern slopes very steep. For that
reason this mountain is very dangerous for planes. Local records
say about 3 plane crashes on its slopes and one of these is still
possible to find. During WWII a German transport plane crashed
there. This event is noted down in a name of nearby cave: Jaskinia
gdzie Spadl Samolot. The name of the cave means "The Cave where a
Plane Fell Down". You can still find around some bended and molten
pieces of the crashed plane.
Nearby there is a rocky landslide with some caves, but due to very
narrow passages and unstable, fragile walls, it is recommended not
to visit the caves.
After visiting this spot you can go to the top of Cergowa where
there is another cache
Cergowa (GC1XD1H).

The best way to the cache is by following a
marked path from coordinates N49 32.185 E21 44.954, where you can
also leave your car.
