Merikarvialla on mannerjään tuottama luonnonihme, Sikarounikko, joka sijaitsee alueella jota paikalliset kutsuvat nimellä Pirunpaska. Sikarounikko on suuri useita aareja käsittävä kiviraunio, joka on kasaantunut suurista siirtolohkareista ja haljenneista kalliopaasista. Toisiinsa nojaavien kivien väliin jää käytäviä ja lukuisia syviä kallioluolia, joista pisimmät ovat jopa parikymmentä metriä pitkiä. Sikarounikon luolamaastossa viihtyvät hyvin mäyrät ja ketut.
Lähestyminen Sikarounikolle kannattaa suorittaa kävellen metsätietä ja jättää auto annettuihin polun pään koordinaatteihin. Autolta on matkaa kävellen n. 300m Sikarounikolle.
kordinaatit N 61° 50.811 E 021° 35.102 (annettu waypointtina) osoittavat yhdelle alueen hienoimmista luolista ja sen suuaukolle. Tehtävänäsi on mennä luolaan ja seurata alla annettuja ohjeita jotka opastavat sinut purkille. Purkille saattaa olla myös muita reittejä.
Laskeudu parimetrisen kelopuun tyngän juurelle ja mene luolaan sisään. Kuva 1 helpottaa suuaukon löytämistä. Luola jatkuu hieman ylöspäin ja pääset huoneeseen jonka katto on osittain avoin. Jatka samaan suuntaan. Hetken päästä huomaat vasemmalla kivipaaden joka viettää alaspäin menosuuntaasi (kuva 2). Laskeudu kivipaasia pitkin alas huomaat vasemmalla puolella luolan. Älä mene sinne vaan jatka suoraan menosuuntaan kunnes seinä tulee vastaan (kuva 3). Tässä kohtaa onkin sitten tehtävän hankalin osuus. Seinän vasemmalla näkyy kapea aukko josta sinun on mentävä läpi, näet luolan jatkuvan vähän isompana heti tuon kapean aukon jälkeen. Kulje käytävää eteenpäin kohtaan jossa näet 15-20 cm korkean ja kaksi metriä leveän aukon (kuva 4) jossa käytävä jatkuu vielä paljon eteenpäin. Älä kulje tuosta aukosta läpi (saattaa olla vaarallista ja siihen voi juuttua) vaan etsi kätköä lähistöltä. Peitä kätkö samalla tavalla kuin se oli. Varo ettet riko purkkia peitinkivillä.
Tehtävää ei voi suorittaa menemättä sisälle luolaan ja hyvä lamppu (varalamppu ei ole huono idea) on aivan ehdoton. Ota mukaan köysi jolla merkkaat kulkemasi reitin ettet eksy sillä siellä on useitakin eri käytäviä ja saatat eksyä. Luolaan meneminen voi olla vaarallista ja se on eräästä kohdasta hyvin ahdas. Jos pelkäät suljettuja paikkoja, tämä kätkö ei sovi sinulle. Tehtävän suorittaminen voi olla hankalaa tai jopa mahdotonta jos olet kovin suurikokoinen tai jos et ole tarpeeksi notkea. Varo päätäsi. En ole koskaan nähnyt kyykäärmeitä näissä luolissa mutta on mahdollista että niitä on siellä. Ethän tule tänne yksin. Talvella käytävät ovat todennäköisiä jäisiä ja ehkäpä mahdottomia kulkea. Vaatteet menee pesuun tämän reissun jälkeen. Sinua on varoitettu!!

Sikarounikko, one of Merikarvia’s nature wonders, was formated during the ice age by the ice sheet. It is located in an area which is called as “Pirunpaska”, i.e devils’s shit. Sikarounikko is a big area, several ares, of rocks and stones and split stone columns in multiple layers. There are several columns and even deep caves between the stones and rocks leaning each other. The longest caves are up to 20 meters long. Badgers and foxes prosper in the Sikarounikko cave area.
Best way to get to Sikarounikko is to park the car to or near the given waypoint (you can find the coordinates below) and walk from there via a path. It's about 300m walk to Sikarounikko.
Coordinates N 61° 50.811 E 021° 35.102 (waypoint given) point to the entrance of one of the finest caves in the area. Your mission is to go in to the cave and follow the instructions below to find the hidden cache. There may also be other routes to the cache.
Go down to where the 2m tall dead three is "growing" and enter the cave. Picture 1 helps to find the entrance. Once in the cave go a bit upwards to a room which has a partly open roof, continue to the same direction once in the room. You'll notice a stone on the left which is continuing downwards (picture 2). Slide down the stone. Once down continue to the same direction. You'll notice soon a corridor on your left, do not go there but continue until you will reach a wall (picture 3). This is where the most difficult part of the mission is. You'll see a narrow place on the left side of the wall which you have to go through. You can see that the corridor continues bigger right after this narrow place. Once through the narrow path, continue until you see a 15-20 cm tall opening which is about 2 meters wide (picture 4) through which the corridor continues much further (it is dangerous and there is a fair good change that you get stuck into it). Do not go through that opening but search the cache here. Cover it the same way and don't break the box with the stones covering it.
You can’t execute the mission successfully without going into the cave and a good lamp is a must (maybe even a spare one as well). Take a rope with you to mark the route you have gone as there are several corridors and you might get lost.Going into the cave might be dangerous and the cave is very narrow at one point. If you are claustrofobic, this is not your cup of tea. Executing the mission might be difficult or even impossible if you are bigger than average. Mind your head. I have never seen any viper snakes in the caves but it is possible that there are some. Please do not come here alone and not during the winter as the corridors are slippery. You'll need to was your clothes after this adventure. Don't panic. Consider yourself warned!!
Please keep the place tidy, don’t leave any trash behind. The view on top of the rock is nice.

The cache was voted as 3. best traditional cache as well as 3. best rookie cache in Finland in 2010. The cache was voted as 8th best nature geocache in 2014.
