The Vermilion Vein Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Estacadians: It is with deep regret that we must put this cache to rest. There's considerable construction going on in the area and it could be a while before it's accessible. [:(] Thanks to everyone who took the time to visit this pretty cool place [:D]

Geocache Description:

The OregonPirates found this place a few years ago and we have been wanting to come here for a while. Park along NFD 4630 near the gate and walk the gravel road. Stay left at the split and cross the creek near the site. Take some time to explore the area it really is quite facinating. Coords were very bouncy when we placed cache so see spoiler pic. http://darkwing.uoregon.edu/~dtodd/WilRiver/OLeary%20final.pdf

There are several old cinnabar mines along the Oak Grove Fork of the Clackamas River, just below the dam at Lake Harriet, Clackamas County, Oregon. See related webpage.
