Geocache Description:

The co-ordinates given are for the location of the first clue. The clues, which are all years, should be easy to find but they are spread over a 15 mile (24 km) cycle ride, mostly along quiet country lanes. There is one short section of A road, but there is a footpath if you are nervous or are taking the kids along.

The magnetic nano cache is quite near to the parking location (as is the village pub), so you will finish there at the end of the ride. The "Coffee Shop" in the title is a recommended stopping point along the way, its only drawback is that you will not want to get up to complete the route! Along the way you will be able to pick up other caches. The co-ordinates given here are often those of the wayside caches, but you should be able to find the clues easily from these locations. There are no clues in these caches, so if you fail to find a cache it is not a disaster.

To get to your first clue from the parking area, you should go left (south) from the Millenium Green car park, and left at the next junction. Then off to Clue 1 at St James's Chapel, Lindsey. At this location you will also find "GC2921K Church Micro 1214 -- St James's Chapel, Lindsey"
The clue is on the information board -- 154A.

To get to the second clue continue along the road (east) past the chapel, and take the first turning on the left. The co-ordinates given are for "GC2948X -- Church Micro 1213 -- St Peter's, Lindsey".
The clue will be found behind you as you look into the church porch! S P 178B.

Head off to the third clue. This one is a bit of a cheat as it doesn't quite fit the theme of "Years" -- 1C41. The coffee shop is just here, look carefully and you might catch us with coffee and cake at a table outside.

For the fourth clue you must go along the A road, there is a footpath all the way. The clue here is 185D, note that any "boys" in the group must be on their best behaviour here!

From clue 4 cycle on up to the church and take in a bonus cache "GC21KGH -- Church View Micro 911 - St Peters -Monks Eleigh" by tigerthumbs &jo. The co-ordinates for this cache are not given here.

For clue 5 continue up the hill past the church and head off to Brent Eleigh. Along the road here there are good views to both sides, but particularly to the left across the Brett valley, see if you can pick out Milden church hiding among the trees, you will be heading there soon. If you are in a car you will be below the level of the hedge and will miss this!
The co-ordinates given are for "GC244B9 - Church Micro 1211 -- St Mary's, Brent Eleigh".
The clue you need is to be found in the church porch 19E1. As you approach the porch, look at the tomb on the right against the wall of the church. The skeleton with a spade and an hour glass is there to "remind you of your mortality".

For clue 6 continue down the road past the church. Stop and have a look at the village sign, and before moving on look at the fancy brickwork and chimneys on the house here.
The clue is on the Village Hall (used to be the school) 18F6.

Continue along this road to the left, I know it said "no through road" but you'll be alright on a bike. Cross the 2 main roads with care and turn left down a narrow road to Milden church and clue 7. Look at the views to the left.
The co-ordinates given are for "GC29J5Y - Church Micro 1212 -- St Peter's, Milden".
The clue will be found on a very pleasant seat at the entrance to the churchyard, 19G8.

Go back the way you have come, to the road junction and turn left. Continue along here for quite a distance, (you may be in luck and see some Suffolk Horses in the fields on your left), turn right at the junction and head off take in a bonus cache "GC244C6 -- George's Red Box". The co-ordinates for this cache are not given here.

Carry on a few yards to clue 8. The co-ordinates given are for "GC244BR -- The Ultimate Answer".
The clue here is on a wooden pole -- UTE 199H.

The final clue is at Edwardstone church, clue 9. The co-ordinates given are for "GC245FB -- Church Micro 1010...Edwardstone -- Kissing Gate".
The clue here can be found by looking over the churchyard gate -- Vicar of Edwardstone 18J6 -- 1923

You now have all the numbers you need to find the cache, but there is a final bonus cache on the way "GC244JD -- Memorial". The co-ordinates for this cache are not given here.

Then on to find the "Coffee Shop Cycle Ride" cache at:
N52 deg 0G.AJE
E000 deg 5H.(B+C)DF

If you feel the urge to flatten several acres of vegetation; RESIST. This cache is located in/on/under something, and your visit should leave little trace on the surroundings.

Finally, back to the car at the Millenium Green. If you are still up for it there are 4 caches a short walk from here!!

First to find honours go to the "gillywigs", although they did this by car and guesswork.
True honours go to Les and Sue for doing the circuit by bike, and stopping at the coffee shop, and finding the cache where others had failed!
