in our disclaimer.
This cache is part of a series intended to showcase
Wisconsin's
Rustic Roads (WRR). Wisconsin's Legislature established the
Rustic
Roads program in 1973 to preserve what remains of Wisconsin's
scenic, lightly traveled roads.
These caches are usually hidden near the right-of-way so that
no
bushwhacking is required. Please be respectful of private
property
and be aware that, although traffic is normally light, there may
be
no shoulder on which to park. Be sure to keep an especially
close
eye on children while hunting for the cache.
WRR 11 runs in a 10.3 mile loop starting a few miles east of Lake
Geneva. The best access point is probably off Highway 50, where
South Road begins. WRR 11 takes you along South Road, Steele Road,
Knob Hill Road, and Spring Valley Road. The scenery is excellent
along this winding loop and shows many examples of glacial
topography so typical in the Kettle Moraine area. Bring your bikes
for a good workout-if you get a little tired in these hills, you're
not far from the White River State Trail, which is flat and can be
accessed in nearby Lyons.
