About this geocaching series:
Since there is a serious shortage of puzzle caches in the
Bryan/College Station area I have put together a series of them.
Each one has a different theme and unique puzzles to solve. They
also have varying levels of difficulty, but I have designed the
puzzles to be solvable without needing extensive specialized
knowledge. Please refrain from posting in your logs any hints to
either the puzzles or the actual cache locations. However, I do
encourage you to work with others. I will not post any extra hints,
but if you keep having trouble after repeated attempts at solving
them, feel free to send me a message and I can point you in the
right direction. I want these to be challenging but still fun to
do. So good luck and happy trails.
THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE POSTED COORDINATES!
Motivation for this cache:
Geocaching is really a lot of fun. I am quite astonished by the
amount of creativity that goes into hiding a cache. One of the
first caches I ever found was hidden behind a tree inside a small
knot. The only thing inside the container was a tiny bronze coin
from another country. That same day we followed the GPS a little
further northwest and discovered a huge cache on the peak of a hill
that was filled with tons of goodies for the kids to dig through.
Although I haven’t been geocaching for very long, I have
found some pretty unique containers located by some really neat
places. My wife tells me that I am now on the border of obsession
with the game. She is probably right, but at least my obsession is
healthy. So let’s all stop sitting around like a statue and
head out there and (in the words of my wife) “go get our nerd
on”.
By solving the following puzzle, the true location of the cache
will be obvious but finding it when you get there may not
be...
t c i l b a b s o t b t t n
3 5 2 7 6 1 6 6 2 3 6 2 3 9
By the way, you'll need to bring some tweezers and your own pen.
Please be sure to put the cache back carefully after you've found
it. Also, please be safe and obey all traffic laws
when making your way to the final location.
Three cheers for k3iv (FTF) for being smarter than the puzzlemaker
