Geocache Description:

A short jaunt along the horse/bike trail at High Cliff State Park.

Park on Ertl Road for access to this section of the horse trail.

Container is small, black, and contains tradable items.

No, Levi didn't run and dive head first off the cliff into the water. Instead the last ride in the fall of 2009, he ran the hill at a gallop, dived down with the bit and pulled me onto the pommel of the saddle. I then rode the hill on my stomach, almost coming off at the top (disaster).

At the cache site you can see the field that we always canter, and even through the hill isn't large, don't ride it at a gallop on your stomach. After crossing Ertl Road, we always canter "Dave's field" (Dave is the unfortunate fellow who was dragged the length of the field by a stirrup. He was okay but graduated to driving his horse via cart.)

Permission for this cache was granted by Jay Vosters, HCSP Geocaching Coordinator. The WI DNR Geocache Notification Form has been submitted via mail to Jason Wiese, park manager of High Cliff State Park. Geocaches placed on Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource managed lands require permission by means of a notification form.
