Welcome to The Bridge in St Sampson and Vale. Perhaps not the prettiest bit of Guernesy - it's where they keep the powerstation - but well-served with shops and a fine chippy. But why's it called The Bridge when there's no bridge..? The co-ords above are for both parking (2 hours with a disc, between 8am and 6pm, up to 14 hours between 6pm and 8am) and the info you need to find the cache.
There's a big stone here, showing the divide between St Sampson and Vale. On the top stone there's a date: AB of May 19CD. On the lower, another year: 1EFG. You'll find the cache a little way away (15-20mins on foot, 10 by bike, 5 by car) at:.
N49° AF.A(D-B)C
W002° G(F-E).D(C-E)B
If you're local or observant you can bypass this first stage and go straight to the final, if you recognise the above plaque; the cache is hidden all of 8m (26ft) from it. It's beside a road, visible from another road, and there's ample parking close by.
Huge thanks to ZweiOrmers who are looking after this cache for me; I know they're pretty local to it :) Hidden after my GC229YY Guernsey Gathering event, which took place on the 27th of June 2010; a really fun day and, I learnt at the event, Guernsey's first cache-meet!
