Evil Monkey Meets the Tooth Fairy #1 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Blue Crow Expedition: I went to check on this one today and it was missing. Someone has cut down trees and brush in the area and piled it on top of where the old path used to be. A new path will probably form farther up the hill but it hasn't happened yet. I tried to find the container among the fallen trees but I couldn't even tell which tree it used to be in. I'll have to archive it.

Geocache Description:

Along the banks of the Milwaukee river off a rough dirt trail.

What happens when an Evil Monkey meets the Tooth Fairy? A flying monkey? No; no flying required but monkey shines are standard.

This cache is placed to encourage people to get off the paved bike path and enjoy the river. Mountain bikers use the trail, but it is not suitable for road bikes. Thanks to ThistleBrewer for leading me to this area!

Entrance from the north is via Estabrook Park. There is a parking lot there and a paved trail behind the closed restroom building leads down to the river. Evil Monkey Meets the Tooth Fairy #2 is near the paved trail. Follow the trail south to Evil Monkey Meets the Tooth Fairy #1.

Entrance from the south is probably easiest from Hubbard Park. There is a parking lot there (near Morris and Menlo Blvds. Catch the dirt trail down by the riverbank below Hubbard Park Lodge (Sunday brunch anyone?). This is a great little park that most people on the bike path do not visit. There is a tunnel entrance under the bike path from the parking lot. Bicycles can get to the parking lot by following the path through River Park on the east side of the bike path. Go around the baseball diamond and follow the driveway around behind the River Park Apartments. The driveway leads right into the Hubbard Park parking lot.

Please re-hide exactly as found.

Initial contents include a Sacajawea dollar coin as FTF prize. Also, a limited edition wooden nickel and Sammy Claws pathtag!
It appears the monkeys are not fond of the tooth fairy; but some of the original TF swag remains. Difficulty has been raised to reflect the new placement; although it is a larger and perhaps easier to spot container. Terrain level was bumped up a notch monkey boy! Room for more swag, but still - BYOP!

Notification form submitted to the Village of Shorewood Parks Department.

Congrats to 3Scooters for FTF!!!! (and replacement!)
