I fondly remember Tex
Ritter's sanitized version of "The Big Rock Candy Mountain". It was
not until later, that I discovered that it was anything but a
children's ditty but a song by Harry McClintock, reflecting a
"Hobo's" sardonic view of paradise. It was during the age of rail
travel and the absence of any social safety net that McClintock
first performed the song in 1897 and later recorded it in
1928.

follow the Paved Path/Road to the "Blue" Trailhead" (See the
Waypoints Section) which will take you on a short comfortable hike
on a well maintained Trail close to Ground Zero. An easy bushwhack
will take you to the Cache. Alternate closer parking options are
available in the Waypoints
section.
The Cache is a Small Lock 'n Lock
containing "BIG ROCK CANDY MOUNTAIN GEOPINS", Kid's Stuff, a log
and pencils.
