The inkblots below are all genuine and are used in the Rorschach test. The Rorschach test is a psychological test in which subjects' perceptions of inkblots are recorded and then analyzed using psychological interpretation. Psychologists use this test to examine a person's personality characteristics and emotional functioning. It has been employed to detect an underlying thought disorder. While there supposedly is no right or wrong answer, the majority of normal people tend to see a certain image or experience a certain emotion. For example, in the first image, a few people see the apparent mandible and head of an insect in the upper middle part. A larger number of people focus on the outer extremities of the image and see wings of a bat, butterfly or moth. However, the majority of people see the image possessing ears, eyes, snout and the general wedge shaped face of a wolf or fox so the answer is (4).
