Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Decatur County Cemetery Series! This series will take you to every corner of Decatur County and in between to discover the cemeteries of today and long since past. Who knows; you might just find some long-lost lineage!

Penn Cemetery is located three miles west and 3 3/4 miles north of Oberlin. To reach this cemetery, you will need to park on the road to the west of the coordinates and walk in across a short distance of field. If you open the gate to the cemetery, please make sure to shut it on your exit. The cemetery is typically unkempt, but is still the final resting place of at least 15 individuals. Please be respectful of not only the cemetery, but the field it is in as well. DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH THE FIELD. Cache is a camouflaged ammo can with "Official Geocache" markings.

This being a cemetery series, the utmost respect when entering and searching is imperative. None of the caches involve ANY desecration of graves or cemetery property, and none should be reported or this series will be disabled. All caches are relatively easy and require little searching or bushwhacking. If a funeral service is being held in the cemetery, DO NOT ENTER. We want you to be respectful not only to the 'residents' of the cemetery, but to the families. Just use your head and you should do just fine. Please, NO NIGHT CACHING. Many of these cemeteries have curfews from dusk to dawn.
