Geocache Description:

The cache is within Como Park and is registered with Parks and Recreation. I recently raised the terrain rating due to multiple feedback about the thorns. Gloves are a plus. Special tool suggested - and may be required for log removal. Bring a walking stick to move thorny vines if you don't have good gloves. A lot of this depends of the time of year.

PAY ATTENTION TO ATTRIBUTES! If we have very little snowfall, then the "Winter Friendly" Attribute will be on. If we have a heavy snowfall, then it will not; though others have recovered this cache through diligence and cleverness. Bring your own pencil in case the original is missing. Park in the West Picnic Grounds lot and travel west into the woods, or park on Hamline across from the park; being aware of parking restrictions (especially during the State Fair). Please be eco-friendly, I realize thorns are a pain, but they do serve a purpose in nature; please use the unmarked trail, and please exercise Cache In Trash Out; the picnic grounds are heavily utilized and the wind tends to blow items into the woods. To navigate the thorns and underbrush blue jeans work the best with a cotton jacket and a pair of gloves (such as you'd use pruning a rosebush). Nylon running suits or basketball shorts are not advised. Parents - your kids will be happier if you provide them mittens or gloves - even in the middle of summer! Dogs and people may acquire "hitchhikers". Please replace cache as found in the same location so others may enjoy.
