The cache is not located directly within the cemetery, but please show respect and give honor to those whom have passed on before us while there investigating. GOOD LUCK!
Wildcat Bluff is just a short distance from this cemetery, leave out the way you drove in and turn Left onto Hawkins Rd. At N37 23.214 W088 55.727 - Wildcat Rd, turn Left. Road will end in parking lot. Head down trail to trailhead - for a short hike, turn Left and head toward the "Lookout" at N37 22.292 W088 55.464 -- along this trail to be a little more adventerous, drop down off the bluff at N37 22.498 W088 55.617 and have some fun exploring. The main trail to the 'lookout' could be rated 1.5-2.0 until going down to the 'lookout' which is a little harder work. Round Trip 1.0 miles!
Your best views will be when the leaves are off the trees and the Cache River valley lies below the bluff. From the trailhead, you an also turn Right and follow the bluff and trail clear down into the Cache River basin, round trip around 5 miles.
USE CAUTION NEAR THE FINAL LOCATION - IT HAS BEEN REPORTED THAT THERE IS AN OPEN WELL (I do not know the location of the well, and in the Southern Illinois (Shawnee National Forest area) it is not unusual to encounter wells).
