This cache is just short of the summit of Hartz Peak.
This is a 4 hour return walk, not including a 3 hour return drive from Hobart.
Drive south from Hobart through Huonville, turning-off at Geeveston.
Weather can be extreme and changeable - so take wet and cold weather gear.
The attached photo will help you find the cache. This rocky outcrop is on the final ascent about 20m from the summit. Basically, on the final climb, you head up a gully. The gully then terminates and the final climb to the summit is about 20m to your right. The cache is at the end of the gully at the bottom right on the rocky outcrop at foot-level. It is covered by a couple of rocks for camo.
You do not need to head off the main track to the summit to find this. It is literally 1 meter off the track as described. :-)
In fact, heading off the track in un-fair weather is definitely not advised.
