This cache has been placed to commemorate its 10th anniversary and as a tribute to its owner, Cache_Ninja! Thanks for all of the caches you placed at the beginning of the game!
The cache coordinates can be found on the inside cover of the Gerbil Cache! Once you have the coordinates, make you way to them and once there, look about 44 feet north for the cache. I had to move it on 3-17-13, since the tree it was hidden in was cut down.gerbiL cacHe (GCC8)
In March, 2010 we were preparing to go back to Ramapo Reservation, so that Sakiman and ElToro76 could find the Gerbil cache. I started to read more into the history of the cache. I noticed in earlier logs a mention of a bonus cache! So, with that in mind, when Sakiman, ElToro76 and I found the Gerbil cache, I spotted on the inside cover of the Gerbil cache the coordinates to a cache, which had been placed, but somehow was never published. When we were done for the day, and on our way back to the car, we searched for and found a cache!! Some emails were exchanged with OldNavy and it was discovered that this "bonus cache" had been placed there in 2006 after a group hunt for the Gerbil Cache by the NNJC using the coordinates from the Gerbil Cache bonus and was found by a few. Well, this is the publication of that cache, although the one we found needed some tuning up! Please be stealthy in your search and be sure to return the cache to it's original spot.
