Geocache Description:

Located on the Great North Mountain Trail on the Virginia/West Virginia State Line

We hid this on a through hike of about 6 1/2 miles. We parked off of VA. route 691 [ N38°55'38.31" W78°44'19.01" ] and hiked to VA. route 720 (Crooked Run Road)[ N38°51'34.82" W 78°48'17.92" ], where we had a second car waiting. Of course it is not necessary to through hike. Its about a 5 to 6 mile round way trip from route 720. Cache is hidden in a large rock outcropping. Turn off the main trail at N38°53'35.6" W78°46'33.2" and go north to the outcropping. Note, this cache is not hidden on top of the outcropping. As always, please supervise any children that are climbing around on the outcropping.
